Peoples from around the globe have made our community a model of unity in diversity from its earliest beginnings. Our World Festival of Music reflects that abundance by presenting free, live concert performances every in June at Kitchener City Hall Civic Square.

Our World is an all ages, family friendly event at Kitchener City Hall Civic Square on Saturday, June 20, beginning at 8pm, right after the K-W Multicultural Festival wraps up in Victoria Park. The festival features performances by artists whose roots reflect Canada’s rich cultural diversity.

Open Ears Regatta and Dreamworld Jukebox

Open Ears is celebrating the summer solstice by holding the first Open Ears Regatta at the 125,000 litre Reflecting Pool at Carl Zehr Civic Square. We will begin the evening with our DreamworldJukebox, where multiple groups and sound sources ringed around the square simultaneously play an identical set list in their own style. Audience members and unsuspecting passersby can drift from one overlapping sound world to the next with strange continuity, while folding colourful origami boats, and floating them in the pool.

Kathryn Ladano, Michael Borkovic, Ben Grossman, Jason White, the Sorbara-Aldcroft duo, Suba Sankaran, Dylan Bell and more!
